Great series of creative animation shorts on YouTube that my son directed me to. The series is called “Simon’s Cat”, created by Simon Tofield, a professional animator in England. Really well done and hilarious. Evidently becoming very popular as there is now a Simon’s Cat book. Here is the link to the shorts on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/simonscat?blend=1&ob=4. There is also a neat short video featuring the animator demonstrating his creative process on the Simon’s Cat website: www.simonscat.com

HELP! Our designer Jessie is being put behind bars for “good”! She’ll be locked in “Jail” (a.k.a. made to sit in the Bag of Nails Pub) and FORCED to eat bar food for two hours while she awaits bail money! Oh the horror!
What has she done to deserve this you ask? She has made a pledge to raise $1,600 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jessie’s trip to “jail” is a step towards safeguarding you or a loved one from being one of the million or so Americans, stricken with one of the many forms of muscle and nerve disease that the Muscular Dystrophy Association is trying to eradicate.
The MDA is run, almost completely, by the money it receives from private donors, and 78.4 cents of every dollar goes directly into research, services and education. Some of the programs and services offered by the MDA include the purchase of wheel chairs, facilitation of support groups, education, research and more!
Please help support people with Muscular Dystrophy in our community, and get Jessie out of jail, by donating online at https://www.joinmda.org/grandview2010/jessie
Even if you’d rather see Jessie rot in restaurant prison, forced to eat fried finger foods, please consider donating to this great cause!

If you ever find yourself traveling through south-eastern Pennsylvania, be sure to visit the Brandywine Museum located in Chadds Ford. This was the home of the N C Wyeth (1882-1945), one of America’s finest and most influential illustrators, best known for his outstanding book illustrations of Treasure Island, The Boy’s King Arthur and Robinson Crusoe. His illustrations in oils are magnificent, lush, technically brilliant examples of imaginative story-telling. Approximately 40 of his paintings and illustrations are on display here. He was also the father of a painting dynasty, including daughters Henriette and Carolyn, and son Andrew, one of the most well-known painters in the history of American art.
